When you visit this website, a cookie banner asks whether you accept optional analytics cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics starts running and some information about your visit is sent to Google, as described below. If you decline, or take no action, analytics stays off. Some pages also include a booking widget (EasyTable) that loads its own third-party content — see “Booking through EasyTable” below. This website uses Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-WX3QPS41Y7), a web analytics service provided by Google. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website so we can evaluate and improve it. Analytics is intended to run only after you accept analytics cookies using the cookie banner, and the legal basis for this optional processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given in line with the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act (ekomloven) § 3-15. Where enabled, Google Analytics on this site has enhanced measurement switched on, which means it automatically tracks page views, scrolls, outbound link clicks, site search, video engagement, file downloads, and form interactions on top of standard analytics events. Google Signals (which would combine Analytics data with Google’s own advertising data) is switched off, and no advertising accounts (such as Google Ads) are currently linked to this Analytics property. Data retention in this Analytics property is set to 2 months for user- and event-level data, and this period resets each time a returning visitor is active. Google may process Analytics data outside Norway; for European users, Google’s documented practice is to process initial location data on EU/EEA-region infrastructure and not to log or store individual IP addresses, and any further international processing takes place under Google’s published data-protection terms and transfer safeguards. This account's main data-sharing controls — Google Signals, Google Ads links, and Google's optional "user-provided data collection" feature — were checked directly and are switched off or unlinked, as stated above. Google's separate account-level "Data Sharing Settings" page could not be opened during this review, because the Google account used has property-level access to this Analytics property but not the account-level access that page requires; based on the settings that could be verified, this Analytics account is not configured for data sharing with Google beyond providing the Analytics service itself.
When analytics is running, Google Analytics collects information such as which pages you view, how you move through the site, general device and browser information, and an approximate location derived from your network connection (for example, city or country level). For visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Google Analytics does not log or store your individual IP address — it is used briefly at the network level to work out an approximate location, then discarded, and only that derived location information is kept. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies in your browser: “_ga”, used to distinguish visitors, and a session cookie in the form “_ga_<container ID>” (currently “_ga_WX3QPS41Y7”), used to track visit/session state. These cookies are only set after you consent, their lifetime is controlled by the Google Analytics tag configuration, and they may be renewed while you continue to use the site. In a technical check of this website’s staging environment, both cookies were observed with an effective lifetime of about 400 days from being set — this reflects standard browser limits on cookie lifetime rather than a Red Rabbit-specific setting, and is separate from the 2-month Analytics account data retention described above. You can remove these cookies at any time by withdrawing your analytics choice through Cookie settings.
Table and group bookings on this website use EasyTable, a third-party booking system provided by EasyTableBooking ApS (Ørestads Boulevard 67, 2300 København S, Denmark). Depending on what you enter when booking, EasyTable may process your name, email address, phone number, postal code, and any booking comments, in order to create, manage, and confirm your reservation, and to send you booking confirmations and reminders by email or SMS. Where this processing is genuinely necessary to handle a reservation you have requested, the basis for it is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request before, or in performance of, a booking. EasyTable's current data processing agreement states that it uses service providers located in the EU/EEA — Mailgun (Ireland) for email delivery and GatewayAPI (Denmark) for SMS delivery — and that personal data is not transferred to any third countries under that agreement. A review of the EasyTable business administration found no separate customer-configurable setting for how long guest booking records are routinely kept while Red Rabbit remains an active EasyTable customer: guest records are kept for as long as the subscription is active, and staff can delete an individual guest's record manually at any time. If Red Rabbit's EasyTable subscription is ever terminated, EasyTable automatically deletes the data within 30 days, as described above.
When you first visit, a banner lets you choose "Decline" or "Accept analytics." Declining is just as easy as accepting, and analytics stays off unless you actively accept. Your choice is remembered in your browser using local storage under the name "rr_cookie_consent_v1", which records your choice, the banner version, and when you made it — it is a record of your preference, not itself an analytics or tracking cookie. We ask you to make a new analytics choice after 12 months. We may ask sooner if the analytics service, purpose, or information we collect changes materially.
You can change your cookie choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link available on this website. Withdrawing your consent is as simple as giving it, and takes effect immediately for future analytics activity.
Aside from Google Analytics and the EasyTable booking widget, this website does not use any other third-party tracking scripts, advertising pixels, or analytics tools that could be identified in this review (for example, no Meta Pixel, no additional ad-tracking pixels, and no separate tag-management script were found). Smart Darts games at Red Rabbit Pub are provided using Dartsee hardware; this is a physical dart-scoring system referenced in the site's copy and is not a digital or tracking integration.
