RED RABBIT PUB ยท OSLO

What to Do in Oslo When It Rains

Oslo rain is common enough that a backup plan is worth having. The city centre has more than enough to fill a day indoors, and most of it is close together.

Museums

The National Museum is an obvious place to start, and worth taking your time over. The Nobel Peace Center and the Munch Museum are both worth a visit. None of them require a full day, which means you can combine a couple without feeling rushed.

Cinema, theatre and food halls

The National Theatre has a strong programme. Mathallen on Vulkan is a reliable option for lunch or early dinner โ€” a covered food hall with a range of choices. Several cinemas in the city centre cover afternoons that turn into evenings.

Darts and drinks

If the day still has room, Red Rabbit has four electronic dartboards and no cover charge. Three boards can be booked. One is kept for drop-ins. Automatic scoring, which removes the one argument darts is usually famous for.

A simple plan

Museum in the afternoon. Dinner somewhere nearby. Then Stortingsgata 12 for drinks and darts if nobody's ready to call it a night. Not complicated. Works fairly often.
